WFMW- Utility Rebates Program

A couple years ago, our basement flooded and we had to replace our furnace(and washing machine, ugh!). The company that installed the new furnace told us that our utilities offered a rebate program on upgrading to new energy efficient furnaces. Woohoo! Granted, it was only $150(and the furnace cost us over $2000) but hey, free money!

Recently, our 12 year old refrigerator has came down to it's last leg. I found out that our utility company will pick up the old appliance and haul it off. In a few weeks, we will receive a $35 credit on our bill. I also found out there are rebates for low flow toilets, insulation upgrades, programmable thermostats, and more!
So if you are looking to get a new one of these:

Check out your local utilities company to see if can earn some green by being green!
