I'm ashamed to admit, the stove has been getting a little neglected lately. With the spurts of nice weather we've been grilling, even with a 2 day rainy weekend. Top that off that Thing 1 has been in charge of cleaning the kitchen for a few days and well......
Okay, I haven't cleaned the oven out since we got the stove 6 months ago and I use it practically daily. Shameful.
The top became a shelf since hasn't been used..
Luckily, I seen the task before I left for errands this morning so I quickly cleaned it out and off and set the self cleaning cycle on the oven.
Three hours later when I got home, I was fully ready to hose it down with Easy Off like I had to do after the cycle on my old one but after I wiped the inside down with a wet rag, I seen it didn't need it.
I had to do a little scrubbing on the glass part, but the cycle cleaned everything else out.
Time to tackle the top. I broke out the glass top cleaner and worked on the cook surface. Since I didn't go to the Y and get my arm workout today, I made up for it cleaning the burners :) A Magic Eraser took care of the white surfaces and here's the result:
All clean!
I even used the oven to bake some cookies since all my pans were out of it(just some Easter clearance slice and bakes from Aldi's for .99).
Since I don't have carpeting I didn't have to vacuum(I sweep 2-3 times a day anyways...)
7 Things I got rid of:
1 broken bowl tossed
3 Easter baskets,4 shirts of Thing 2 , and 2 pairs of Thing 2's pants were added to the other clothes I've weeded and all dropped off at the thrift store(4 Walmart size bags stuffed!)
