Here is instructions for making some cute Christmas trees out of magazines. These vary in size by the magazine you use, so you can make a whole forest for decorating!
You will need
1 magazine
Hot glue
A wooden ball or star for the top
Optional: you can spray paint them
You take your magazine and open it to the back page(it's easier to work back to front, trust me)
Fold the top corner down towards the spine
Fold down again(almost like making a paper airplane)
Then take the "tail" and fold it up, on the back of the page
It should look like this:
That's it!
Just repeat until finished
Once you have all the pages folded, hot glue the cover pages together so it will keep it's shape.
After that dries, you can spray paint it or leave it natural.
Attach a star or wood ball on top with some hot glue and you are finished!
If my wreath made out magazine pages turns out, I'll share a picture of it next!

Reminds me of a project I did in grade school one year. We folded up Readers Digest magazines just like you did, spray painted them silver and added wings and a head to make angels. I think each angel was made of 2 magazines.
