Pantry challenge Week 1

Eating from the pantry is easy when you are broke.

At least that is how this first week went.

I did have to spend $10 on some ice cream and soda for Baby Girl's birthday party this past Saturday, but there was a ton left over :)

I made the cake and cupcakes with what I had on hand already, and since we rented a community room, I didn't feel obliged to feed guests other than cake and ice cream.

I have a ton of meals that carried over from the last of December, so I thought I wasn't going to need to buy anything, until I actually went to the store today.

Aldi's had hams marked down(got 2) and a bunch of Christmas goodies. I got, ahem, a few, but they will get used(I'm the hangout for teens so a lot of mouths to feed)

I was actually pretty nauseated after grocery shopping today, I did get what we only need(for the most part, har) and still spent more than I wanted to(and that's passing up $10 whole chickens, $10!) but most will last the month. Hopefully all I will need to buy next week is soda and milk!
